After the long day at work, many of us love to unwind by listening to music or by reading books, many of us yet would love to go for watching movies. Hollywood has given us some of the classic movies that have always made us cry, wonder and even be astonished at the special effects and plots, but nothing beats a good fun-filled comedy movie. 1. Home Alone:

I can’t think of any child of 80’s and 90’s who has grown up without watching this classic comedy. The film brought us across a smart but mischievous boy Kevin McCallister who is left at home by his big family as they all leave to Paris without him. He has to get over his fear of staying alone, wait for help to come and of course, fight two goons, all during Christmas. The film had sequels made too but then the first one is always going to be all right for Christmas family tale.

2. Meet the Parents:

A gentle and caring nurse, Greg Focker who has to go visit the parents of his girlfriend and more than everything else, do his best to please the father of his bride. Robert De Niro as the condescending father is a laugh riot and so is Ben Stiller as Greg Focker. The film also gave birth to a sequel “Meet the Fockers” that also can be watched after you are done holding the stitches on your sides laughing.

3. The Gods must be Crazy:

Another movie of this much fun has probably never been made. The film is about a tribe in South Africa that has still not come in contact with civilization. Xi, a tribal gets hit by a soft drink bottle and the entire village wishes to use it once. While Xi goes to dispose off the bottle away, he comes across civilized men and women and gets entangled with them. Will he be able to throw off the bottle?

4. Monty Python and the holy Grail:

The movie is a hilarious take on what happens when the Arthur legend gets mixed with contemporary days. Starting from the credits to the end of the last frame, the film has plenty of moments when you will be smiling away idiotically at the King Arthur, and the other Knights who go for finding the Holy Grail.

5. Office Space:

This is a classic movie that has all different types of office clerks and employees and talks of their general dislike for the boss. The film has plenty of funny one-liners, comedy scenes that would make you say that it has happened with you too and many others.

6. Ace Ventura Pet Detective:

Miami Dolphin’s Pet mascot, the Dolphin goes missing and it is the job of the Ace Ventura pet detective to find it out. Jim Carrey is in his Mask mode and goes on like a firecracker for most of the film with vivacious energy that would make only Dr. Do Little proud.

7. Zoolander:

A failed model is ousted from the fashion world by manipulative people and Derek Zoolander played by Ben Stiller goes out of work. He goes to meet his father and decides to become a miner but he is found to be unsuitable there also.

8. American Pie:

One of the most popular franchises of comedy movies is this coming of age movies that is about a group of young high school boys. They all make a pact to lose their virginity and become a true man. But in their quest, they all grow up and find true love instead. The boys have grown up, but our favorite is Fletcher with his impish grin.

9. Grown ups:

The film Grown ups has been written by Adam Sandler and also stars himself, along with Kevin James, and others in this hilarious reunion where these grown-ups meet along with their spouses and children. Who has more fun – The children or the grown up?

10. The Hangover:

Three friends decide to go to Las Vegas for a bachelor party and party all night. Next morning, they have everything except for the memory of what happened the night before. As they track back on whatever happened, we slowly get to understand what all they did.

Having watched these top Hollywood comedy movies, at one point of your life or the other, you would have surely rolled on the floor laughing.
