The biggest jackpot in the German lottery history was 45,382,458 euros and was cracked on 5 December 2007. Overall, three players from Schleswig-Holstein, North Rhine-Westphalia and Thuringia typed the correct winning numbers (9, 10, 24, 28, 39, 42 and the Superzahl 3). The highest single win went on 7 October 2006 with 37.688.291,80 euros to a player from North Rhine-Westphalia.
Euro Jackpot: 90 million euros
The new community lottery has already outperformed the traditional lottery in terms of winnings. On 15 May 2015, a Czech won the first record jackpot in the amount of 90,000,000 euros . The second Euro Jackpot in the same record was won by a German player from Baden-Württemberg on 14 October 2016.
EuroMillions: 190 million euros
The European record is set by the multi-country lottery EuroMillions. A couple from England cracked the gigantic jackpot of 190 million euros on 10 August 2012. The record win was shared by three winners from Maryland, Illinois and Kansas.
