– Eligibility 

To work as a nurse in Singapore, you first must have been offered employment with a healthcare institution. After employment has been offered, the Singapore Nursing Board can consider your application for registration and enrolment.

To apply for registration and enrolment, you must provide evidence that you have completed a nursing programme that is equivalent to an accredited pre-registration/pre-enrolment nursing programme in Singapore. This includes your registration as a nurse/midwife in the country you were trained as well as a current license to practice as a nurse or midwife.

– Documents required for Registration/Enrolment

These include copies of the application forms which must be signed and completed by candidates, passport photographs, passports, marriage certificates, nursing and education transcripts, registration and training certificates and references from previous employers.

– Fees

Foreign trained Nurses and Midwives who wish to work in Singapore must be registered/enrolled with SNB, which involves paying the following fees:

a) Application for Registration/Enrolment Fee
b) Registration/Enrolment Fee
c) Application for Practising Certificate Fee

After your necessary information and evidence is verified you may be required to sit additional examinations, undergo assessments or work within a trial period with certain conditions imposed.
