How Can an English Trained Nurse Work in Singapore?

Singapore is one of the most unique cities in the world. With a mixture of Eastern and Western culture, Singapore is home to some of the world’s most efficient business centres and health amenities of the highest calibre. Singapore’s healthcare system is consistently ranked by the World Health Organization (WHO) as among the best in the world, and as a result is a popular destination for those seeking nursing jobs.

Singapore has a dual healthcare system incorporating public and private sectors much like Australia. These sectors are managed by the National Healthcare Group (NHG) and the Singapore Health Services (SingHealth), and include tens of thousands of employees, as well as many hospitals and clinics.

Nursing jobs in Singapore are often highly sought by registered nurses in other parts of South East Asia as well as English trained nurses.  English trained nurses wishing to work in Singapore will have to pass a number of requirements including:

These include copies of the application forms which must be signed and completed by candidates, passport photographs, passports, marriage certificates, nursing and education transcripts, registration and training certificates and references from previous employers.
