In a couple of reviews lately I’ve mentioned that our family seems to be going through a particularly tough time with health issues this year. My younger sister has had a stroke and for the time being, is bedridden. My older sister just had a terrifying incident with a liquid drain cleaner that erupted like a volcano, putting her in the hospital for almost a week. Fortunately, both sisters are on the mend.
But to the point. . . A few days ago I went to visit my older sister. She had a few items in a box she had brought home from the hospital and suggested I go through it to see if there was anything I might want. I chuckled and said ” Thanks, but I have all the breathing tubes I need.” One  item did catch my eye however, a bottle of Aloe Vesta Cleansing Foam. I love the foam dispensers in public restrooms, so I took it.
I hardly use any soaps at all – except dish and clothes-washing types. For showering, etc. my doctor recommends water and a type of mild abrasive sponge. Since no one has spit on me in the two-plus years I’ve been taking my doctors’ advice, I’m ‘assuming’ I don’t smell like a buffalo hunter.

However – there are times it seems prudent to use some type of cleaning lubricant ‘stronger’ than water.  A good example would be disinfecting my hands after Wally, my Dachshund, has done ‘her thing’. Of course, I use poo bags for the clean-up part, but somehow that ‘yuk feeling’ comes through the bag. Or, when I’m wiping down things that live outside – like the patio table and chairs (replete with spider webs), or cleaning the bird feeders – birds don’t care where they poo!  Suffice it to say, I’ve been using Aloe Vesta Cleansing Foam almost daily. All I do is dispense one walnut-size foam-ball into my hand and massage as I would any other hand cleaner or disinfectant. No rinsing needed!
