2019 Model Year Specials

For the 2019 model year, the Canyon is mildly refreshed up by GMC and that includes improvement in almost every department. We can start with the new infotainment system that is now connected to the cloud servers for more accurate navigation and being easier to be automatically updated for its software. GMC has also offered a few optional convenience features like parking sensors, a new SLE wheel design with 17-inch, a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat on several trims while the color palette receives four new colors: Dark Sky Metallic, Smokey Quartz Metallic, Blue Emerald Metallic, and Sedona Metallic.

Engine Power

GMC includes a wide range of engine options for the 2019 Canyon to serve the different levels of purposes that require a different level of performers. The base engine starts as a 2.5-liter inline-4 one, the next higher options are either the 3.6-liter V-6 or the turbodiesel 2.8-liter inline-4 one. For transmission, a 6-speed manual is made standard on few inline-4 models, while a 6-speed automatic is offered as optional for the gas models and the diesel 4-cylinder engine ones. If you choose the V-6 you can opt for an 8-speed automatic. All the 2019 Canyon trims can either be configured as rear- or four-wheel drives which is now a common trend for the pickups.

With all these power options the 2019 GMC Canyon didn’t make a sound when we tested it at the GMC dealership Monterey. Moreover, it returned a 30 mpg mileage on the highway. The diesel version proved itself to be mighty enough to tow up to 7,700 pounds while meeting all the usual needs for any pickup user.
