There are very less smartphones which created a big buzz even before their release. A 3 year old smartphone manufacturing company is creating a big engagement with their almost every smartphone. Yes we are talking about Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi. This company has created very good buzz with their smartphone Mi4. And this also helps to increase the sales of this smartphone. As the last smartphone of this series was one of highest sailing phone for the company. This is the reason now Xiaomi is heading forward to launch another good smartphone in the MI series.

Xiaomi is expected to release its next smartphone under Mi series named Xiaomi Mi 5 in the month of September 2015. There is no official announcement is given for the Xioami Mi 5 release date. Yet September is expected as the previous smartphone under this series was also launched in August 2014. This phone is expected to come at the price of 2500 Yuan (Chinese currency) and in India the expected price is around Rs 25,000. If we look at the competition of this phablet. Then at this price HTC desire 816 is the toughest competitor among all. Today I will post a head to head specification comparison of these two phablets.

Design and Display

HTC desire 816 comes with the big screen of 5.5 inch. But this phone is design to give a good grip to consumers with this size. It is not sleek smartphone but it looks sufficiently good. It comes with HD display (720p). Although the display is HD but the colours of this phone is vibrant and it gives decent experience on watching HD movies.

On the other side Xiaomi Mi will also come with the same size of 5.5 inch but it is expected that this phone will come with slim bezel. That will make this ultra-sleek. This phablet is expected to come with Quad HD display. The display of this phone will be 4 times better than desire 816. User will get outstanding experience with this phone.

Processor and RAM

Desire 816 from HTC comes with powerful quad core Snapdragon processor by Qualcomm. It is powered with 1.5 GB RAM.

While Mi will also come with the same processor but it will be backed up by 4 GB Ram (More than twice).

Front and Rear Camera

HTC Desire 816 comes with the rear camera of 13 MP. And it gives good quality of pictures. It also supports video recording at high quality. It supports front camera of 5 MP with HD recording. Autofocus is enabled on both front and rear cameras. Camera Quality of Desire is amazingly good.

Xiaomi Mi 5 will come with the camera of 15MP with autofocus and HD recording. For the selfie lovers it will come with 8 MP camera with HD recording.

Price

Price of HTC desire 816 is 28k while Mi5 is expected to release with the price of 25k only.

Overall specifications of both the smartphones is quite similar but Mi5 attains some plus points at some specs. So it will be a bit better phablet than HTC desire 816.
